While Verbier appeals to freeriders and experienced skiers, the other resorts in the 4 Vallées Nendaz, Veysonnaz, and Thyon—have been designed with families in mind. In Nendaz, the Tracouet area at an altitude of 2,200 meters features a snow garden equipped with two magic carpets, a T-bar lift, and a beginner’s slope, as well as a small sledding run—perfect for little ones.

For younger children (ages 3 to 5), Neige Aventure the Swiss Ski School have teamed up to create Mini-Kids, a program specifically designed to introduce children to snow sports in a safe and fun environment. You can book your Mini-Kids course directly on our website (see below).

Good news: the lift pass is free for children up to age 6 at all resorts.

Choosing a resort the 4 Vallées your family's skill level

For beginners and families visiting the 4 Vallées, head to the Printse sector (Nendaz–Veysonnaz–Thyon) and its 220 km of varied slopes. Intermediate skiers will find great red runs in Siviez, while more experienced skiers can venture toward Verbier and Mont-Fort (3,330 m). And in the evening, head back to the resort for fondue and relaxation.
