The good news for fall: the Tracouet gondola will remain open daily through October 25. The brand-new Flowtrail de l’Alpage winds its way down through the golden larch trees—an Indian summer in Nendaz, mountain bike style.
The Alpage Flow Trail: This Year’s New Addition
Opened on September 19, 2026, the Alpage Flowtrail is Nendaz’s first downhill mountain bike trail: 5.7 km of banked turns, flowing sections, and small jumps, stretching from Tracouet (2,200 m) to the Haute-Nendaz resort , for a total descent of approximately 800 m. Rated blue, the trail is designed so that beginners can discover downhill riding while having fun—and so that experienced riders can tackle the turns with a smile.
For the flow trail’s first season, the Tracouet gondola is running daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through October 25. It’s a true delight of nature: riding at high altitude in late October, just as the larch trees turn golden and the low-angled light makes the mountains look spectacular. Up by gondola, down on the flow trail—and then do it all over again.
Extended hours benefit everyone: a hike up to Tracouet for a walk around the lake and panoramic views of the Bernese Alps, hikes along the irrigation channels amid the fall colors, and sunny terraces. For families, it’s a winning combination: parents ride down the flow trail while the rest of the family strolls around Lake Tracouet, then everyone meets up for a snack at resort.
